Why the name?
Arbora comes from arbor, Latin for tree. We chose it for what we want to be: rooted here, a safe place to lean on, and something that gives back to everything around it. Like the Tree of Life, we want to support and sustain those around us, through climate action, animal conservation and rescue, and the nonprofits and events that hold our communities together. A direct, positive impact. That’s the whole idea.
Logos
- Use the wide logo whenever it fits; the square logo is for avatars and tight spaces.
- Color logo on light backgrounds. All-white logo on navy, dark backgrounds and photos.
- Leave clear space around it, at least the height of the “A”.
- Please don’t recolor, stretch, rotate, outline or add effects.
- Write our name as Arbora Managed IT on first mention, then Arbora. Write the website as ARBORAIT.COM.

Founder
Derrick PriceFounder & owner
Derrick Price is the owner of Arbora Managed IT, which he co-founded in Grand Rapids in 2023. He spent more than a decade leading technology in West Michigan schools. At Hopkins Public Schools he rose from entry-level technician to IT manager, running daily operations, the network and servers for 200+ staff, 1,600+ students and five buildings. He then served as Director of Technology for Hartford and Bangor schools through Van Buren ISD, leading a technical staff of eight across 300+ staff, 10 buildings and projects over $750,000. He holds a degree in network administration from Grand Rapids Community College. He built Arbora on honest advice, work done properly, and giving at least 1% of all revenue back.
